An Introduction to Paying with your Mobile
At Roda, we want to ensure that our customers are able to get the most out of their devices. Some of you may have been using the banking features available on modern smartphones to pay for coffees on-the-go for a while. However, if you are new to this feature, this guide may help you get started.
The ability to pay for transactions using your phone makes life much easier if you ever forget your wallet. You can pay in shops using your mobile device if you see the G Pay, Apple Pay or Contactless symbol. You can also often use these systems to more easily complete transactions online or within apps.
Google Pay
Google Pay is available on the Google Play store for Android users. The full instructions for setting up Google Pay can be found on their website.
You must use pattern, password, PIN, fingerprint or retina scanning screen locks with Google Pay. You also need to ensure your device has the right software installed; Lollipop (5.0) or higher. If you have issues setting this up, you can find more guidance on Google’s website.
Apple Pay
Apple Pay is available to Apple users on the App Store. The full instructions on how to set up Apple Pay can be found on their website.
You can use Apple Pay with Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode. It works on most modern iPhones but you need to make sure you’ve installed the latest version of iOS.
